Biggest Pussy or Biggest Phony?

Either way, I'd love to run in to Glenn Beck. Armed or not, she'd be my bitch. This goes for any of her swallow...er....followers, too.

On this day, 8 years ago...

On this day, eight years ago, the world was changed forever. One minute, it was all full of promise, hope, and dreams, the next minute, a black cloud from the burning jet fuel of a plane that crashed into one of Manhattan's signature buildings, one of the twin monolith's that made up it's majestic skyline, spread not just over lower Manhattan, but over our hearts, our minds, our rationale. It spread over the world. It spread over our freedom, and most of all, it spread over, and choked the life out of, our symbol of truth.
I am not going to write much, just this:
9/11/2001 - Do Not Forget.

As an addendum to this article I'm posting this link and this link and asking one question; WHERE WAS THE AIR FORCE WHILE FOUR AIRPLANES FROM TWO MAJOR AIRLINES FLEW AROUND OUR SKIES FOR THE BETTER PART OF AN HOUR THAT FATEFUL MORNING? - dd

Pass this on, copy and paste this to your e-mail buddies...

I'm getting a little sick of Glen Beck's hate-based racially-motivated witch hunts for the sole purpose of redirecting the attention of where it should be- namely, getting his lunatic rantings off the air. While it's good for the late night comedy scene, it does us as a country little good to have this kind of trash on the boob-tube.
So, as a result, I'm supporting Color of Changes' cause, and posting their e-mail here. Just copy the below text and paste it in an e-mail to your friends and family, but please, no random mailings. Spam can hurt a good cause like this, so only to people who will appreciate it.
-Thanks.

Dear friends,
As you may know, right-wing talk show hosts have been bringing race-based fear mongering into the mainstream, but FOX's Glenn Beck has taken it to another level.
I signed ColorOfChange.org's petition to stop Glenn Beck's lies and distortions, and so far, 62 major companies have stopped their ads from running on his show. These companies have decided they don't want to be associated with Beck's race-baiting.
But Beck is only stepping up his fear-mongering, so we can't stop now.
We have to make sure advertisers keep leaving, and stay away from his show.
Will you take a stand and be counted, and invite your friends and family to do the same? It takes just a moment:
http://colorofchange.org/beck/?id=2020-1099487
This summer, Beck said:
This president has exposed himself as a guy over and over and
over again who has a deep-seated hatred for white people...
this guy is, I believe, a racist.
That statement fits into a pattern of rhetoric from Beck designed to stoke racial paranoia and fear. He has claimed that President Obama has a "reparation appetite" and a desire to use his policies to settle old racial scores. Beck's overall plan is to create an atmosphere in which the White House can accomplish nothing, and he's carrying it out by preying on race-based fears and mobilizing hate. Beck relies on dishonesty, distortion and exaggeration, and he is embarking on character assassinations of Obama administration officials with whom he disagrees.
FOX has a horrible track record on pushing racist propaganda, but Glenn Beck appears to be taking the network to an even lower standard.
He's trying to divide and distract America when we should be coming together and talking about issues that really matter--like health care and the economy.
The good news is that we have the power to stop this. Over 175,000 people have joined this campaign, and 62 advertisers have already stopped their ads from being run during Beck's show. Please help keep the momentum building.

I believe the children are the future...

I used the above line to start this because it is true. Yesterday, the President broadcast a speech directed to the children of America. It was basically telling them to stay in school, try hard, be your very best. You know, socialist stuff like that. People were freaking out over the speech before it was even given, with parents keeping their children home from school, and calling their childrens' school to demand that it not be shown.
My question is, what did the children think of the speech? The ones that heard it, I believe, were encouraged. How would I know? I don't, but here is a letter that my daughter wrote to President Obama after the speech. It gave me hope for the future.
Read:

September 9, 2009
Dear President Obama,
I’m writing this in regards to your speech about education. I am an eighth grade student at ****** *** ****** here in *****, Indiana, and would just like to say I found your speech very meaningful and worth the time of everyone that watched it.
My parents had recorded it and told me to watch it that night. Frankly, I was very impressed. I feel that education is a very important factor in a person’s future. All chances of getting a desired job and being able to support a family are contingent on the level of education one can receive and how much effort they put into it. There isn’t an excuse in existence for not at least putting your best foot forward and making an effort to have that job as a doctor, or own that nice car or house. Right now, a lot of kids are dropping out of school, and sometimes if they’re in school they don’t even pay attention. It’s not setting a good path in the least for their future. That’s why I changed schools. In the sixth grade, I went to a different school then I am now. It was a public school that wasn’t exactly in the best neighborhood. That however wasn’t my problem. My problem was I was doing work at a 3rd grade level, and almost never had homework. Plus, the kids at the school weren’t exactly the most properly behaved. I was falling in with a bad crowd because I had so much free time. I still kept my school work up and everything, but both of my parents realized that this couldn’t continue. After one year there, they had just about had it with the school in its entirety. The next year, I went to seventh grade at my current Catholic preparatory school. Here we do college level work and are good at what we do. This school has given me so much as far as education. I never knew I could write until we studied poetry in English. I never knew I could act until I got a major part in the school play. I never knew I could put up a huge argument until I had debate with my theology teacher about the current controversial issues in the political system. So as far as I’m concerned, education is definitely going to get me far in life.
I think it was a great thing of you to do to make a speech about such an important issue right now. And considering how much it will end up affecting the future of this great country, I’d say it’s an immensely important issue. Thank you for addressing it.
Sincerely,
Maddy *****

Well done, Maddy. Daddy is proud of you.

Let's Hear it for (D-Ca) Senator Barbara Boxer!!

I was watching Senator Barbara Boxer on Rachael Maddow, when I heard her say what I have been saying all along. She will be telling her colleagues on both sides of the aisle, that if they don't support the public option part of the Healthcare Reform bill, then they must drop their own public healthcare. This is something that I have been calling for whenever I call and vent my frustrations on the latest member of Congress who has earned my wrath, which lately has been quite a few.
Listen up, REPRESENTATIVES! That is what you are, that is what we pay you to do! Represent! If government-sponsored public option healthcare is good enough for you, it damn well is good enough for the least of us!
Thank you, Senator Boxer. Your voice is one of the things that we need in addition to ours to help get this passed.

A few thoughts...

On this Labor Day, I would like to share a couple of thoughts with you.
Why do they call it Labor Day if nobody works?
What is one of the easiest jobs in the political scene right now? Simple, it's a republican political advisor. All you have to do is disagree with whatever the Obama Administration is trying to do to help the country. It doesn't matter if it is a good idea, something that will help the working poor to feed their kids, or get healthcare for themselves, or helping to get the country moving towards recovery from a disaster worse in some ways than 9-11 and Katrina put together. I'm talking about the previous adminstration of G. Dubya Bush.
Tell me again why, in the words of a certain radio talk show producer, is the President not allowed to speak in schools without permission, yet the military can send recruiters to stalk, yes stalk our children and use scare tactics to get them to enlist in the armed forces. Or in the words of John Fugelsang, Presidents should not speak to school children, unless they are reading My Pet Goat while our nation is under attack. The fevered pitch of the protesters are making it evident even to our youth, that our fight against racisism is far from over. Tell me that if our president was an old white man the scenario would be the same. It would be, "Oh, how nice that the president is getting involved in the young people of our day", rather than "I don't want that socialist pressing his agenda and trying to brain-wash my kid!", when the primary message is to be your best and encourging them to get a good education. People, a word of advice- Stop watching Glen Beck.
I'd like to say to our president: Don't back down on the public option. You need to stand up and make good your promise to give us change that we can believe in. With 76% of our country wanting it, you need to get in there and put on the boxing gloves, and fight for what we, the people, want. What we elected you for. What we expect out of you. Anything less is NOT change that we can believe in. It's just more of the same; democrats being whimps. We have the majority- the perfect storm. This will not happen again, if you don't get tough. The picture above is who we need right now. Don't disappoint us.
Happy Labor Day, America.

Mark Kirk has Assues

Representative Mark Kirk, the republicker for the 12th district (right next to mine) in Illinois must have a man-sized tube of Preparation H in his office and I can understand why. Pulling things from your ass can have serious consequences, not the least of which are hemorrhoids.

This isn't spin, or opinion, or half truths, or obfuscation. It's a fucking lie.
The last time I was subjected to his stupidity he was claiming that stronger marijuana would lead to OVERDOSES (of what? Twinkies?) and cause more traffic deaths.
First of all, NO TRAFFIC DEATH HAS EVER, EVER been attributed to pot - don't believe me, look it up - and second of all, do you think that someone who drinks regular Bacardi would have the same number of drinks if they had Bacardi 151 in them?
Mark Kirk is either ignorant or lying. Neither of which serves the people of his district.

Merchant of Death Hired by Cheney in Deep Shit

Erik Prince calls himself a soldier of god. Now he has to answer for the death and destruction wrought by his company Blackwater, a war-for-profit firm hired by former president and vampire-in-chief Cheney to further his culture of death in his WAR OF LIES.

Every single person who pushed for this war, and those that profited from it need to be dropped in the middle of Iraq and left there, after our soldiers are brought home.

Huckabee-ach

Former Governor and Presidential Looser wannabe Reverend Mike Huckabee needs to go back to his roots and read the book of his first choice of careers. He can start with Matthew chapter 6 verse 24: NO MAN CAN SERVE TWO MASTERS.
In what way does the reverend serve his first master when he LIES like this:
They lie because the truth won't help their cause. They lie because if people ever found out the truth about what they say, not only wouldn't they hold public office again, they would be hard pressed to find an honest job anywhere.
If they don't want to help, they should just go away, or at least stop lying.

Former Nazi Youth & Chief Boy Toucher Not a Fan of Senator Kennedy

"Here in Rome, Ted Kennedy is nobody"

Hmmm...They make a lot of things disappear, like pedophile priests. These guys are like the dickless relocation program.

Anybody know the only sovereign nation that has no female citizens? That’s right ladies and gents, it’s The Vatican. What are they afraid of?

So the invisible guy in the sky is EVERYTHING and someone who tried to help the poor and the sick is nobody? No wonder attendance is down.
