Biggest Pussy or Biggest Phony?

Either way, I'd love to run in to Glenn Beck. Armed or not, she'd be my bitch. This goes for any of her swallow...er....followers, too.

On this day, 8 years ago...

On this day, eight years ago, the world was changed forever. One minute, it was all full of promise, hope, and dreams, the next minute, a black cloud from the burning jet fuel of a plane that crashed into one of Manhattan's signature buildings, one of the twin monolith's that made up it's majestic skyline, spread not just over lower Manhattan, but over our hearts, our minds, our rationale. It spread over the world. It spread over our freedom, and most of all, it spread over, and choked the life out of, our symbol of truth.
I am not going to write much, just this:
9/11/2001 - Do Not Forget.

As an addendum to this article I'm posting this link and this link and asking one question; WHERE WAS THE AIR FORCE WHILE FOUR AIRPLANES FROM TWO MAJOR AIRLINES FLEW AROUND OUR SKIES FOR THE BETTER PART OF AN HOUR THAT FATEFUL MORNING? - dd

Pass this on, copy and paste this to your e-mail buddies...

I'm getting a little sick of Glen Beck's hate-based racially-motivated witch hunts for the sole purpose of redirecting the attention of where it should be- namely, getting his lunatic rantings off the air. While it's good for the late night comedy scene, it does us as a country little good to have this kind of trash on the boob-tube.
So, as a result, I'm supporting Color of Changes' cause, and posting their e-mail here. Just copy the below text and paste it in an e-mail to your friends and family, but please, no random mailings. Spam can hurt a good cause like this, so only to people who will appreciate it.
-Thanks.

Dear friends,
As you may know, right-wing talk show hosts have been bringing race-based fear mongering into the mainstream, but FOX's Glenn Beck has taken it to another level.
I signed ColorOfChange.org's petition to stop Glenn Beck's lies and distortions, and so far, 62 major companies have stopped their ads from running on his show. These companies have decided they don't want to be associated with Beck's race-baiting.
But Beck is only stepping up his fear-mongering, so we can't stop now.
We have to make sure advertisers keep leaving, and stay away from his show.
Will you take a stand and be counted, and invite your friends and family to do the same? It takes just a moment:
http://colorofchange.org/beck/?id=2020-1099487
This summer, Beck said:
This president has exposed himself as a guy over and over and
over again who has a deep-seated hatred for white people...
this guy is, I believe, a racist.
That statement fits into a pattern of rhetoric from Beck designed to stoke racial paranoia and fear. He has claimed that President Obama has a "reparation appetite" and a desire to use his policies to settle old racial scores. Beck's overall plan is to create an atmosphere in which the White House can accomplish nothing, and he's carrying it out by preying on race-based fears and mobilizing hate. Beck relies on dishonesty, distortion and exaggeration, and he is embarking on character assassinations of Obama administration officials with whom he disagrees.
FOX has a horrible track record on pushing racist propaganda, but Glenn Beck appears to be taking the network to an even lower standard.
He's trying to divide and distract America when we should be coming together and talking about issues that really matter--like health care and the economy.
The good news is that we have the power to stop this. Over 175,000 people have joined this campaign, and 62 advertisers have already stopped their ads from being run during Beck's show. Please help keep the momentum building.

I believe the children are the future...

I used the above line to start this because it is true. Yesterday, the President broadcast a speech directed to the children of America. It was basically telling them to stay in school, try hard, be your very best. You know, socialist stuff like that. People were freaking out over the speech before it was even given, with parents keeping their children home from school, and calling their childrens' school to demand that it not be shown.
My question is, what did the children think of the speech? The ones that heard it, I believe, were encouraged. How would I know? I don't, but here is a letter that my daughter wrote to President Obama after the speech. It gave me hope for the future.
Read:

September 9, 2009
Dear President Obama,
I’m writing this in regards to your speech about education. I am an eighth grade student at ****** *** ****** here in *****, Indiana, and would just like to say I found your speech very meaningful and worth the time of everyone that watched it.
My parents had recorded it and told me to watch it that night. Frankly, I was very impressed. I feel that education is a very important factor in a person’s future. All chances of getting a desired job and being able to support a family are contingent on the level of education one can receive and how much effort they put into it. There isn’t an excuse in existence for not at least putting your best foot forward and making an effort to have that job as a doctor, or own that nice car or house. Right now, a lot of kids are dropping out of school, and sometimes if they’re in school they don’t even pay attention. It’s not setting a good path in the least for their future. That’s why I changed schools. In the sixth grade, I went to a different school then I am now. It was a public school that wasn’t exactly in the best neighborhood. That however wasn’t my problem. My problem was I was doing work at a 3rd grade level, and almost never had homework. Plus, the kids at the school weren’t exactly the most properly behaved. I was falling in with a bad crowd because I had so much free time. I still kept my school work up and everything, but both of my parents realized that this couldn’t continue. After one year there, they had just about had it with the school in its entirety. The next year, I went to seventh grade at my current Catholic preparatory school. Here we do college level work and are good at what we do. This school has given me so much as far as education. I never knew I could write until we studied poetry in English. I never knew I could act until I got a major part in the school play. I never knew I could put up a huge argument until I had debate with my theology teacher about the current controversial issues in the political system. So as far as I’m concerned, education is definitely going to get me far in life.
I think it was a great thing of you to do to make a speech about such an important issue right now. And considering how much it will end up affecting the future of this great country, I’d say it’s an immensely important issue. Thank you for addressing it.
Sincerely,
Maddy *****

Well done, Maddy. Daddy is proud of you.

Let's Hear it for (D-Ca) Senator Barbara Boxer!!

I was watching Senator Barbara Boxer on Rachael Maddow, when I heard her say what I have been saying all along. She will be telling her colleagues on both sides of the aisle, that if they don't support the public option part of the Healthcare Reform bill, then they must drop their own public healthcare. This is something that I have been calling for whenever I call and vent my frustrations on the latest member of Congress who has earned my wrath, which lately has been quite a few.
Listen up, REPRESENTATIVES! That is what you are, that is what we pay you to do! Represent! If government-sponsored public option healthcare is good enough for you, it damn well is good enough for the least of us!
Thank you, Senator Boxer. Your voice is one of the things that we need in addition to ours to help get this passed.

A few thoughts...

On this Labor Day, I would like to share a couple of thoughts with you.
Why do they call it Labor Day if nobody works?
What is one of the easiest jobs in the political scene right now? Simple, it's a republican political advisor. All you have to do is disagree with whatever the Obama Administration is trying to do to help the country. It doesn't matter if it is a good idea, something that will help the working poor to feed their kids, or get healthcare for themselves, or helping to get the country moving towards recovery from a disaster worse in some ways than 9-11 and Katrina put together. I'm talking about the previous adminstration of G. Dubya Bush.
Tell me again why, in the words of a certain radio talk show producer, is the President not allowed to speak in schools without permission, yet the military can send recruiters to stalk, yes stalk our children and use scare tactics to get them to enlist in the armed forces. Or in the words of John Fugelsang, Presidents should not speak to school children, unless they are reading My Pet Goat while our nation is under attack. The fevered pitch of the protesters are making it evident even to our youth, that our fight against racisism is far from over. Tell me that if our president was an old white man the scenario would be the same. It would be, "Oh, how nice that the president is getting involved in the young people of our day", rather than "I don't want that socialist pressing his agenda and trying to brain-wash my kid!", when the primary message is to be your best and encourging them to get a good education. People, a word of advice- Stop watching Glen Beck.
I'd like to say to our president: Don't back down on the public option. You need to stand up and make good your promise to give us change that we can believe in. With 76% of our country wanting it, you need to get in there and put on the boxing gloves, and fight for what we, the people, want. What we elected you for. What we expect out of you. Anything less is NOT change that we can believe in. It's just more of the same; democrats being whimps. We have the majority- the perfect storm. This will not happen again, if you don't get tough. The picture above is who we need right now. Don't disappoint us.
Happy Labor Day, America.

Mark Kirk has Assues

Representative Mark Kirk, the republicker for the 12th district (right next to mine) in Illinois must have a man-sized tube of Preparation H in his office and I can understand why. Pulling things from your ass can have serious consequences, not the least of which are hemorrhoids.

This isn't spin, or opinion, or half truths, or obfuscation. It's a fucking lie.
The last time I was subjected to his stupidity he was claiming that stronger marijuana would lead to OVERDOSES (of what? Twinkies?) and cause more traffic deaths.
First of all, NO TRAFFIC DEATH HAS EVER, EVER been attributed to pot - don't believe me, look it up - and second of all, do you think that someone who drinks regular Bacardi would have the same number of drinks if they had Bacardi 151 in them?
Mark Kirk is either ignorant or lying. Neither of which serves the people of his district.

Merchant of Death Hired by Cheney in Deep Shit

Erik Prince calls himself a soldier of god. Now he has to answer for the death and destruction wrought by his company Blackwater, a war-for-profit firm hired by former president and vampire-in-chief Cheney to further his culture of death in his WAR OF LIES.

Every single person who pushed for this war, and those that profited from it need to be dropped in the middle of Iraq and left there, after our soldiers are brought home.

Huckabee-ach

Former Governor and Presidential Looser wannabe Reverend Mike Huckabee needs to go back to his roots and read the book of his first choice of careers. He can start with Matthew chapter 6 verse 24: NO MAN CAN SERVE TWO MASTERS.
In what way does the reverend serve his first master when he LIES like this:
They lie because the truth won't help their cause. They lie because if people ever found out the truth about what they say, not only wouldn't they hold public office again, they would be hard pressed to find an honest job anywhere.
If they don't want to help, they should just go away, or at least stop lying.

Former Nazi Youth & Chief Boy Toucher Not a Fan of Senator Kennedy

"Here in Rome, Ted Kennedy is nobody"

Hmmm...They make a lot of things disappear, like pedophile priests. These guys are like the dickless relocation program.

Anybody know the only sovereign nation that has no female citizens? That’s right ladies and gents, it’s The Vatican. What are they afraid of?

So the invisible guy in the sky is EVERYTHING and someone who tried to help the poor and the sick is nobody? No wonder attendance is down.

McSame Old Shit

What exactly would John McCain (and his media whore that won't shut up) have changed if the American people didn't hand him his ass last November?

Patriot Majority

These guys are serious. Hey, why bother taking all three branches if you're not gonna do anyting with it?

“REAL healthcare reform will make America a stronger country. That’s why Congress has a patriotic duty to pass healthcare reform that includes a strong public option.

“The battle lines are drawn. Republican leaders, rightwingers and insurance companies are trying to kill real healthcare reform.

“This is what you can do to fight back.

“Call your Senator and Member of Congress TODAY at 202-224-3121. Tell them to support healthcare reform with…one, a strong public option…two, an employer mandate…and three, no tax on healthcare benefits."

PATRIOT MAJORITY

5 Myths About Health Care Around the World

I heard Governor/Doctor/Marginalized Scream Therapist Howard Dean talking about the lying sacks that are the Republickers. I don't remember it verbatim, but the gist was that the Republickers are a master race of propagandists. But that's it. That and that alone is the one quality they possess and the only thing you'll find me conceding to them. The savant like nature of their ability to control the message (DEATH PANELS, and let's not forget that for the last 40 years 12 years and 7 months have belonged to Democrats, but WE'RE the problem??? ) is all they really have. By doing this they can actually win elections or just take a giant shit on what 77% of Americans really want. They can't govern; they have proven that over and over. All they can do is screw the little guy and suck off their corporate masters, but they can't govern because that would involve TELLING THE TRUTH also known as Republicker's Kryptonite.

FreedomWorks is NOT free!

While viewing my last post, something came to me. How can sites such as FreedomWorks.org really claim themselves free, when in fact, they are slaves to the insurance companies, and pharmaceutical companies, and laboratories that make the overpriced drugs that, if desperately needed, the average American can't afford to purchase?
I went on FreedomWorks.org to where you can donate, and came across some interest things. They claim they are a "...nonprofit, nonpartisan education and advocacy organization". Nonpartisan must mean this: the organization is headed by former House Majority Leader Dick Armey, otherwise known in Germany as Schwanz Coastguard, House Majority Leader under the Repugnican control. The president of FreedomWorks is none other than Matt Kibbe, former Chief of Staff and House Budget Committee Assoc. for U.S. Representative Dan Miller (R-FL), from 1993 to 1996. Kibbe is the same guy who was quoted in Politics Daily (posted 8/10/09) in regards to inciting Health Care chaos as saying that his people were "not nearly as rowdy as a high school football game". Nonpartisan, my Ass!
Going back to the donations page of the site: for $100, you can be in the Ronald Reagan Circle. For $500, you can be in the Barry Goldwater Circle. Readers, I'm sure that neither Barry Goldwater, nor running mate William Miller, father of liberal talk show host Stephanie Miller, would want anything to do with a site that allows an ad that depicts the President of the United States as Hitler.
Another thing; guess who said, "Folks, you've got to get to know this organization. They have been doing a great job all over the country educating people"? Good old former President George Dubya Bush. And he would know, he knows good edumacation, 'cause "Children's do learn"!
Nonpartisan? Yeah, right.
People, don't be fooled. "Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice...we won't get fooled again"! I wonder if The Who ever collected on royalties for that flub.
This talk about the government coming between you and your doctor? Really? What do you think that the insurance companies have been doing all this time, as anyone with a pre-existing condition will tell you. We are the only industrialized nation on this big rock that doesn't have a public health care OPTION. What was that word? Oh, yeah, OPTION: that thing that means you get to CHOOSE. Young people, this DIRECTLY involves you, because you guys won't be able to afford it when you decide to have a kid, if you want it done in a hospital. Unless you are rich. And old people- If you don't want socialized medicine, DROP YOUR MEDICARE! Because what do you think that Medicare is? It's government-run health care! Do you understand that? People like Sen. John McCain has been on it for quite some time now. As are the majority of government workers. They use public, government-run health care! Get it? If you don't, I'd suggest you quit watching Glen Beck.

Stab at them with their own Sword

I was listening to radio great Randi Rhodes on my iPhone the other day. It was a back issue, as usual, and she was talking about how the website, Freedomworks, was sending out a mass mailing for its members (or tools, which ever you prefer) to "sign" and forward on to Representatives like Zack Space, Baron Hill, Mike Ross, Jim Matheson, Jane Harman, and Charlie Melancon a petition to go against "ObamaCare". Well, must I remind you, that you, too can use the powers that they have against them. Just go on to Randi's twitter page, or you can use this, just click on the link: http://tinyurl.com/lfxh3t and change the wording a little. Change " Vote No!" to "Vote Yes". Then hit send message, and you will be campaigning to help America once again. You'll have an impact if you do this. If enough people do this. Good luck!
The Lion Sleeps

Edward Moore Kennedy moved on late last night. He joins his two older brothers who served us and attempted to implement great change to our long broken political system. Jack and Bobby paid with their lives and America paid with her innocence.
I would like to take this moment to thank Senator Ted Kennedy, and by extension his family, for all they have done for our country. I would like to thank him for sticking around and working for us to the end.
I know what the tag line of this site is and I’m not gonna change it. Senator Kennedy and his family were old money. In spite of my opinion about today’s 1%ers, the Kennedy family, in particular Teddy, Bobby and John’s generation, understood that if the country club allowed you to become or achieve amazing things in life, you definitely need to pay your dues.
America was their country club and they forked over their lives to belong.
John’s took us to the moon. Bobby worked for truth and justice. All Teddy wanted for us was HEALTHCARE.
Thank you Senator.

“This is the cause of my life. It is a key reason that I defied my illness last summer to speak at the Democratic convention in Denver—to support Barack Obama, but also to make sure, as I said, "that we will break the old gridlock and guarantee that every American...will have decent, quality health care as a fundamental right and not just a privilege." For four decades I have carried this cause—from the floor of the United States Senate to every part of this country. It has never been merely a question of policy; it goes to the heart of my belief in a just society. Now the issue has more meaning for me—and more urgency—than ever before. But it's always been deeply personal, because the importance of health care has been a recurrent lesson throughout most of my 77 years.”

— Ted Kennedy

Socialized Slapdown Challenge - Hannity is My Bitch!

I have a challenge for the reality challenged. Hannity, I'm talking to you. I know you won't accept. Because it might expose your audience to something they have never seen before - the truth.
I hereby challenge you to a Slapdown.

These are the rules:

The host goes first. He has to limit himself to one (1), solo una, nur ein, of his out-of-his-ass claims about health care. NOT one of his rambling, bullshit laden screeds that his equally fact deficient guests understands, not so much as question but as a queue to nod and repeat the talking points.
If I can prove that he's lying, I get to slap his fat ass as hard as I want to.
Then I will state a fact about Health Care. If he can prove that I'm lying, he can slap me as hard as he can.
I will bring two fact checkers from FactCheck.org and Hannity's free to bring two message pigs from his menagerie. If THEY are found to be lying, I get to slap them too.
The facts are the final word.
By the time I'm done with this big-assed, bloviating, blow-dried blowhard bitch, he may not have come over to the idea of COVERAGE FOR ALL, but he'll be free to go to the emergency room of his choosing.

Conservative Economist: The person the screamers should be angry with left the White House seven months ago

Leading conservative economist Bruce Bartlett writes that the Obama-hating town-hall mobs have it wrong—the person they should be angry with left the White House seven months ago.

The Teabaggers are pissed at the wrong guy.

the healthcare reform clusterfuck

Yesterday I called Senator Chuck Grassley’s office and asked in a hillbilly voice “is it true that they wanna put my gramma to death with this “death panel” that Gov. Palin talked about?”. The staffer on the other end told me “yessir, that is a fact”. I asked in my billybob voice “is Mr. Grassley a Christian?”. “Yes” replied the young staffer.
Then in my regular voice “why would a Christian ask you to LIE?”
… she hung up.
Mathematically speaking, if any part of an equation is wrong the whole equation is wrong. Therefore, if any part of a statement is a lie, the whole statement is a lie.
If you have to abandon facts for your own ego, you’ve lost.
If you have to lie to support your side of an argument, you’ve already lost.
